50 Cent Defends Speaking Out on Diddy’s Alleged Abuse and Parties: ‘I’ve Been Saying This for 10 Years

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has long been vocal about his opinions on Sean “Diddy” Combs. In a recent exclusive with PEOPLE, the rapper defended his decision to speak out over the years about Combs’ alleged behavior, particularly as legal charges now surface.

Combs, who is currently facing charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, has denied all accusations. However, 50 Cent believes his long-time warnings are now coming to light. “It seems like I’ve been doing some outrageous things, but I haven’t. It’s just me saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years,” 50 Cent explained.

The rapper’s criticism of Diddy dates back to their years-long feud, which started in 2006 after 50 Cent’s diss track, “The Bomb.” Since then, the two have exchanged public shots, including competitive jabs over their vodka brands. But for 50 Cent, his commentary on Combs goes beyond industry rivalry. As more of Diddy’s alleged legal troubles make headlines, 50 Cent is sticking by his stance.

“Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time. It’s not my style,’” 50 Cent said.

In light of recent events, 50 Cent is also preparing a documentary that will delve deeper into the accusations against Combs. In a joint statement with director Alexandria Stapleton, the rapper emphasized that the story surrounding Diddy has a significant impact beyond just one person: “We remain committed to giving a voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, this is not the full story of hip hop, and individual actions should not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

Despite the controversy, 50 Cent remains unapologetic, staying true to the message he’s pushed for years.
